Trust doesn't come easily...

Gabe is a fugitive on the run. Betrayed by family back home, hunted by soldiers, he doesn't know who to trust. When Lia Weaver finds him bleeding in the wilderness, his life changes forever.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This Frost story contains spoilers for books 1-4 of The Frost Chronicles. The events take place up through the end of Bluewing. It can be read after Bluewing/before Aeralis, or after the entire series has been finished.

A great story showing the origins of Gabe, his relationship with Korr, how he became a fugitive and how he ended up in the Frost.

I was afraid that once we got to the events of the books it was going to be redundant. But instead it flashes back and forth between different times so it always seems new. The events from the book told by his perspective seemed well done.

Overall a great little story and does well filling in the blanks with Gabe.

About Kate Avery Ellison

I’ve been making up stories since I was five years old, and now I’m thrilled to be able to do it as a full-time job. I have an obsession with dark fantasy, dystopian futures, and Pride and Prejudice-style love stories full of witty banter and sizzling, unspoken feelings. When I’m not writing, I’m creating digital art, reading funny blogs, or watching my favorite shows (which include TVD and BSG). I live with my geeky husband and our two bad cats in Atlanta, GA.
